Vom Dorp
Jens vom Dorp was born in 1982 in Moenchengladbach, Germany, which is situated close to Duesseldorf. His first experiences concerning the fascinating medium of ìPhotographyî he already made in young years with his fathers Olympus reflex camera, though his first own camera was a ìAgfamatic Pocket 4000î, a 1970s model. At the age of 19 Mr. vom Dorp intensified his interest in photography, especially concentrating on the field of architecture, city and landscape documentation. From 2002 till 2006 he worked as a free photographer and documented the construction of the new soccer stadium "BORUSSIA PARK" for the club Borussia Monchengladbach, producing large picture galleries.His inspiration concerning his photography Jens vom Dorp drew from the works of Andreas Gursky, which fascinate due to its enormous dimensions and it’s extraordinary richness of detail. Since 2009 Mr. vom Dorp lives in Dresden, where he produced his latest work and went into business for himself.
